In Istrian village of Markovac, not far from Visnjan, there is a family farm that produces Poletti Wine. In the late 1990s, Peter-Piero Poletti took over the estate, expanded the vineyards, and increased the cellar capacity. Today, the farm has 7 ha of vineyards and produces 6 varieties of wine: Istrian Malvasia, Chardonnay, Teran, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Muscat Rose.
